On February 24, 2021, President of Association of Taxpayers of Ukraine (hereinafter – ANU) Grigol Katamadze, Director General of ANU Lyudmyla Herasymenko, Vice President of ANU on customs policy Anatoliy Makarenko, Vice President of ANU on banking and financial activity, Chairman of the Board of TVO ANU in Kyiv Pavlo Pohyba, Member of the Board of ANU, and Chairman of the Council of TVO ANU in Kyiv Pavel Ryabikin participated in an offline working meeting. Pavlo Pohyba, ANU council member Oleksiy Nemeryuk took part in an off-line working meeting with the Chairman of the State Customs Service of Ukraine Pavlo Ryabikin. The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service of Ukraine Ivan Berezhnyuk, Deputy Chairmen of the State Customs Service – Serhiy Zvyahintsev, Vladyslav Suvorov, Ruslan Cherkaskiy, Yevhen Yentis and representatives of business associations.
The working meeting was held in the administration building of the State Customs Service of Ukraine. Pavel Ryabikin, Chairman of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, congratulated all those present and noted that he was ready to listen to all problematic questions and suggestions from business associations.
Then, Pavel Ryabikin was the first to give the floor to Hryhol Katamadze, President of ANU, Vice-President of the European Taxpayers Association, member of the Board of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
At the beginning of his speech, Grigol Katamadze congratulated all those present, informed about the work of the Ukrainian Taxpayers Association, which has been operating for more than 20 years. He noted that the Association is represented in all regions of Ukraine without exception and in the city. Kyiv: 25 territorial branches were opened and 105 local cells were established. Today ANU unites more than 3 thousand taxpayers, which employs about 2 million citizens of Ukraine, including both individuals and large taxpayers, including those who are engaged in foreign trade activities.
During the meeting agreements were reached:
– to hold in the first decade of March of this year an on-line Working meeting of the leadership of the Association, State Customs Service with representatives of business – members of the SBI ASU;
– to consolidate the efforts of business and state to ensure conditions for the development of a competitive economy based on civilized market relations, to create favourable conditions for business development, to establish an effective dialogue and cooperation between the state and business;
– to establish and maintain formal relations of a consultative nature to develop cooperation, ensure business participation in improving customs control and optimizing the methods of work of the State Customs Service.
The purpose of the signed Memorandum is to establish partnership and cooperation between the Association and the State Customs Service of Ukraine to continuously improve and enhance the effectiveness of customs regulations and procedures, exchange information (except for information with limited access) and experience within the relevant functions and powers, prevent violations of customs legislation, public participation in the implementation of state customs policy and ensure transparency of the state organs.
