Two severe road accidents took place in the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, in first night hours of February, 6. Unfortunately, one of them was fatal for a young driver.
The first serious accident was spotted at about 11 pm on Brovar’skyi Avenue.
According to the representatives of a non-governmental organization “Autopatrol Maidan”, motor car Honda that was moving in the direction of metro station Chernihivs’ka, hit the minibus at high speed, and after that swerved into oncoming traffic lane, causing a head-on collision with the minibus Renault. The representatives of a non-governmental organization for UA-Times: “Unfortunately, the driver of Honda died at the scene. He was only 26. The police preliminarily mention overspeeding of one of the parties involved in the accident”.
As the witnesses explained, the face of the driver of Renault was seriously broken, but he denied hospitalization. The driver of the second minibus managed to avoid serious injuries.
Approximately one hour later, another severe road accident involving one motor vehicle happened on Vyzvolyteli Avenue.
Moving at a high speed near the park “Peremoha (Victory)”, the driver lost control of the car and crashed into a metal bump stop, knocking off roughly ten of its sections. Afterwards, the car was thrown to an oncoming traffic lane, where the vehicle was swung in the opposite direction.
As in the previous cases, there was a young man operating the car, and two ladies on board. Preliminarily, all of them sustained minor injuries.
