According to the Center for Public Health, as of 9:00 on April 10 in Ukraine, 2203 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19, of which 69 were fatal, 61 patients recovered. During the day, 311 new cases were recorded.
According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Health, on its Facebook page, Covid-19 has been detected in:
Vinnytsia region – 119 cases;
Volyn region – 41 cases;
Dnipropetrovsk region – 52 cases;
Donetsk region – 11 cases;
Zhytomyr region – 41 cases;
Transcarpathian region – 56 cases;
Zaporizhzhya region – 54 cases;
Ivano-Frankivsk region – 254 cases;
Kirovograd region – 82 cases;
Kyiv city – 348 cases;
Kyiv region – 140 cases;
Lviv region – 82 cases;
Luhansk region – 3 cases;
Nikolaev region – 0 cases;
Odesa region – 46 cases;
Poltava region – 20 cases;
Rivne region – 85 cases;
Sumy region – 63 cases;
Ternopil region – 196 cases;
Kharkiv region – 6 cases;
Kherson region – 27 cases;
Khmelnitsky region – 16 cases;
Chernivtsi region – 366 cases;
Cherkasy region – 86 cases;
Chernihiv region – 9 cases.
Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and Sevastopol are not available.
The research was conducted by the virological reference laboratory of the Center for Public Health of Ukraine, as well as regional laboratories. As of the morning of April 10, the Center received 862 reports of suspected COVID-19. In total, from the beginning of 2020, 8763 suspected reports were received.
Ministry of Health also reports on its Telegram channel that the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov said that Ukraine will receive an additional 320,000 tablets with the active substance “Hydroxychloroquine” for treatment the COVID-19. The required amount of the drug will be delivered as humanitarian aid by Sanofi and Sandoz company. and This wiil be enough to treat more than 22 thousand patients.
This drug is prescribed in national protocol for the treatment of COVID-19 patients, and is used for patients with severe illness exclusively in hospitals, as well as under the supervision of doctors and with the written consent of patients. It will be free for patients who need it.
Recall that as of April 9, Health ministry reported that the mortality rate from COVID-19 in Ukraine was 3.1%.
