On Friday, January 24, an open Meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will take place, among other things, changes to certain codes and laws will be considered, which will make it possible to carry out special checks when hiring tax and customs officers and judges.
Also, when hiring a supervisor, they will have to report working close relatives to the leadership of such a body, the Cabinet Official website reported.
The conclusion of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Secretariat on the results of the examination of the draft Law of Ukraine “On Amending the Law” On the Judicial System and the Status of Judges ” says: “The essence of the changes is the establishment of the obligation to conduct a special audit when deciding on the appointment of candidates for judges, candidates for the Supreme “the qualification commission of judges of Ukraine, as well as the obligation to communicate the indicated persons to the management of the body in which they apply for working close persons.”
The Impact Forecast document states that decision will have a positive short-term and long-term impact. Experts believe that this approach will help determine a unified procedure for the application of anti-corruption mechanisms and contribute to the unification of terminology used in the Law.
Similar conclusions are indicated regarding the introduction of similar amendments to the Tax and Customs Codes of Ukraine in the framework of the adopted Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption”.
Also, according to the documents that will be considered at the meeting of the Cabinet, after making the proposed amendments, a unified procedure for the application of anti-corruption mechanisms will be determined, which will contribute to the unification of terminology in the Law ” Prevention of Corruption”.
