Over past day, border guards service tested more than 22,000 people, including more than 15,000 to enter. More than 13,000 of them are Ukrainians who returned from abroad.
On March 23, registration of evacuation trains from Latvia and Poland is planned.
The State Border Service of Ukraine reports on its website that it continues to work and interact with other bodies to ensure the delivery of Ukrainians who are on the other side of borders without vehicles. Nearly 4 thousand of citizens were delivered to Ukraine within 24 hours with the involvement of vehicles of local authorities and State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Over the past day, border guards and employees of sanitary-quarantine units conducted surveys on state of health and temperature measurements in more than 15,000 people.
At the Borispol checkpoint, a Ukrainian citizen complained of feeling unwell during the check-in of passengers on one of the flights. The man had an test, which showed a positive result and confirmed the disease with coronavirus. The patient was immediately taken to the infectious diseases department.
Also today, border guards expect two evacuation trains – from Poland and Latvia.The Przemysl-Kyiv train will be carried out in Lviv region by the border guards of the Mosty detachment, and the Riga-Kyiv train will be executed in Kyiv by the military personnel of the separate Kyiv checkpoint.
In addition, separate decisions were made in JFO zone regarding the crossing of the demarcation line in both directions by almost 100 citizens, and 215 people crossed the border with Crimea yesterday, March 22.
Recall that in order to effectively counteract and prevent entry into the territory of the coronavirus infection controlled by Ukrainian government, from 00:00 on March 22, 2020, the passage through the demarcation line of persons and vehicles was stopped.
Border guards continue to guard state border, ensure security on the demarcation line, and assist people returning home from abroad. The service advises other citizens to stay at home.
