The Kyiv local prosecutor’s office № 5 has dismissed the case of the Kyiv Radio Plant former liquidator, who had been wanted for a long time on suspicion of illegal company property trade and abusing the power. He is currently awaiting the trial.
The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office press service has announced the pre-trial investigation completion and the indictment filing against the Kyiv Radio Plant former liquidator on the fact of committing criminal offenses under Part 5 of Art. 191, part 3 of Art. 365-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
During 2016, as previously reported, the arbitration manager, who had been appointed the Kyiv Radio Plant liquidator, illegally sold 14 real estate properties (non-residential buildings and premises) that belonged to the state-owned enterprise. According to the report, the price was lower than 5, and sometimes 10 times, causing state losses in the amount of more than 45.6 million ($1,6 million).
The liquidator has transferred some of the money received from the real estate trade in the amount of 2.7 million hryvnas ($100 000) to the private affiliated enterprises accounts.
The indictment was sent for hearing of case on the merits to the Obolonsky District Court of Kyiv. The suspect is about to be imprisoned for 12 years with deprivation of holding certain positions or being engaged in the certain activities up to three years and with the forfeiture of assets.
