The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine together with international experts has formed a roadmap for tourism development. That will form the basis of the strategy for the development of tourism and resorts, which was commissioned by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi. This was reported by “Interfax-Ukraine”.
According to the President’s press service, the Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko reported on this and detailed a strategic vision for the development of tourism in Ukraine at a meeting of the President with members of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“Strategic tasks (of roadmap – added by “Interfax-Ukraine”) are the introduction of a system of tourism statistics; a new draft plan for a law on tourism, which has already been developed; improvement of the management system of the industry; digitalization; creation of a register of tourism entities,” Tkachenko said.
The Minister also mentioned the President’s initiative of “Tourist Magnets”, which is being actively developed by each region of Ukraine.
“In particular – “Large-scale construction” of the certain “objects of attraction”. We are talking about museums, theaters, castles. I think that this program can not only unite the country, but also serve the tourism industry”, – Tkachenko said.
The Minister reminded that the #TravelUkraine promotional campaign was presented on June 12. Together with the President’s Office, two advertising and information tours were held in Odesa and Kherson regions. Together with regional state administrations, work on formation of tourist routes in regions is conducted. Work is also underway to create a multilingual portal Visit Ukraine.
