On the Facebook page, the Ukrainian State Road Agency Ukravtodor announced the construction of a monolithic retaining wall on the highway H-09 Mukachevo-Rakhiv-Ivano-Frankivsk-Lviv, that had been significantly damaged during the flood in 2020.
It is reported that the retaining wall is being erected along the Tisza river. The construction is carried out within the flood destructions limits liquidation. Now the monolithic retaining wall is being erected on 182 km of the H-09 road.
The retaining wall function is to restrain the flow and protect the road surface from erosion when the water level in the river rises. The largest number of the restraint and protective structures is on the road H-09. According to the report, the construction concrete and gabion boxes retaining walls are in at least seven H-09 sections known as the longest route in the Transcarpathian region.
