Today, January 22, Ukraine celebrate the Unity Day. President Volodymyr Zelensky took part in the ceremony of laying flowers to the monuments to Taras Shevchenko and Mykhailo Hrushevsky on the occasion of this Day. Kyiv’s citizens connected the two banks of the Dnieper with a living chain, President of Ukraine official site reported.
Zelensky paid tribute to the Great Kobzar in the Taras Shevchenko Park in Kyiv, the President laid a bouquet of flowers to the monument to Mykhailo Hrushevsky near the Teacher’s House, ceremony was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk and Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk.
