“Ministry expressed condolences to the Turkish side, which has lost its military, and said that Ukraine is in solidarity with the position of NATO and the international community. NATO calls for an immediate cessation of violence and the implementation of previously reached agreements to resolve the Syrian issue. “The suffering of people must be stopped and another humanitarian catastrophe in Syria prevented,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said’, MFA reported.
The statement was preceded by media reports that in the Syrian city of Idlib in recent weeks a war has flared up with renewed vigor between the government forces of Bashar al-Assad, supported by the Russian army.
