The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers is preparing amendments to laws in order to open access for foreign companies to participate in mine clearance in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Until today, only special units of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are entitled to do this work
At an open meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, on Wednesday, January 29, they should consider a draft resolution “On Amending the List of Types of Economic Activities, the Performance of Which is Allowed by the Military Units of the Armed Forces”.
According to draft resolution, it is proposed to expand the list of types of economic activity to the military units of the Armed Forces, the state special transport service: “The military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carry out demining work, which, according to the law, is subject to licensing. Non-governmental organizations are also involved in humanitarian demining, which must be certified and obtain a license to conduct such activities. Certification of demining processes is carried out by a certification body – the Mine Clearing Center of the Main Directorate of Operational Support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “.
In addition to the inclusion in this list of economic activities of the right to manage housing and other real estate in co-ownership, it is proposed to allow the APU to also carry out “licensing, patenting and certification activities”.
