The Cabinet of Ministers said that Ukraine expects a peak of COVID-19 only as early next May.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at a traditional meeting to overcoming the coronavirus epidemic.
After peak of epidemic, they will begin to implement anti-crisis measures to support the economy.
During meeting, they discussed in detail the payments to doctors and medical personnel who are now involved in the fight against spread of disease. Additional payments will take place at the end of April, when doctors will receive basic salaries.
The government also explained the reasons for the delay in receiving data on the number of coronavirus infected from seven areas. In one of the regions, a technical error occurred, where the equipment was restarted, but in general, on Easter, many Ukrainians with suspicious symptoms decided not to go to doctor. The government said that all data will be included in general statistics.
