While Someone is preparing to counteract Covid-19 infection, someone is going to fight inside Ukraine. The Security Service of Ukraine discovered in Luhansk region seven places of illegal storage of military weapons.
There were several caches. One of them was arranged in vicinity of Schastia town in an abandoned dugout. There, 61 shots were stored and waited in the wings for rocket-propelled grenade launchers of various modifications, a 120 mm mine, four fuses for anti-tank mines and an artillery shell, as well as more than 1,100 rounds of various calibers. Most of them was still in factory packaging.
SBU found another caches in the basement of a multi-storey building in Lysychansk city. And five more with military weapons – near the villages of Belaya Gora and Mirna Dolina in Popasnyansky district.
law enforcement officers seized a small-sized jet flamethrower MRO-A of Russian production, an RPG-18 grenade launcher, thirty-five grenade launchers VOG-25 and VOG-25P, and seven grenades. Also found a starting engine for the PG-7 grenade launcher, six fuses for grenades and a large number of small arms cartridges.
“According to the investigation, a resident of Lysychansk equipped the places of illegal storage of weapons and ammunition. Now the suspect has been informed of suspicion and a preventive measure in the form of detention has been taken,” SBU reported.
