The Ukrainian State Emergency Service and other services continue to extinguishing fires in exclusion zone near Chistogalivka and Leliv villages in Korogodsky forestry. There are no fires on the left bank of Pripyat.
The State Agency of Ukraine for the Management of Exclusion Zone reports in a post on its Facebook page that, as of 20:00 on April 12, the state services continue measures to put out fires.
On the territory of the Denisovetskoye lesnichestvo, in the floodplain of the Hrezlya river, grass planks and shrubs in Kotovsky forestry – the same decay between the township of Polesskoye, the villages of Tarasy and Vladimirovka.
The main foci of fires are located in the vicinity of the villages of Varovichi and Chystogalivka, where burning of grass flooring, reeds and forest litter by individual foci is observed.
Andriy Vatolin, head of stte sercive in Kyiv region, said on April 12 in a on his Facebook page that another rotation was held among the capital’s rescuers, to extinguish fires in the exclusion zone is still ongoing. On Sunday, 40 firefighters rotating in the fight against fire threat.
Vatolin reports that about 300 rescuers from different regions, including firefighters from Kyiv and representatives of the forest guard, are working at the firefighting site. On April 12, 35 metropolitan rescuers who returned to Kyiv were examined at the National Institute of Radiation Medicine to make sure that they are healthy.
As of the morning of April 13, according to public activist Ilya Krotenko, referring to satellite maps, the Red Forest is on fire and the surroundings of the former settlement and the Yaniv railway station. The fire came close to Pripyat and the Chernobyl nuclear power plant (this information is different in the official reports of state emergency service).
According to Krotenko, in another epicenter of the fire was the former village of Klivins. All the fires are only on the right bank of Pripyat – this is the unofficial data of the activist and the official data of the State Emergency Service.
